Meet Jonathan Turner
Associate Clinical Psychotherapist
Hello, and welcome. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me as we consider working together.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am currently a registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (#16854) in the State of California under the supervision of Steven R. Hobbs, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am a member of the American Counseling Association. I have experience working in private practice, assisting individuals who face challenges related to sexual abuse, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, I have a diverse work history, including roles in church ministry, construction, real estate, corporate management, and teaching at the elementary level. These varied experiences contribute to my understanding and empathy for people from all walks of life.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative process where we explore various issues, events, experiences, and memories in a supportive and safe environment. My goal is to provide compassion, inspiration, and guidance as we work together. Each therapy session will be tailored to meet your unique needs and objectives, helping you address challenges and work towards a fulfilling life that aligns with your values and aspirations. To address your specific situation, we will use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), among others. I believe in finding hope even in the most challenging circumstances.
I am excited to support you in navigating life's challenges through a compassionate therapeutic relationship. I aim to provide unwavering support, inspiration, and guidance as we collaborate to equip you with the skills needed to overcome obstacles. I look forward to helping you transform difficulties into opportunities for personal growth and empowerment.
